Let's get some content into that right hand column. Click on "Administer" and click on the first link on the far right titled "blocks". You will now notice that you see "left sidebard" and "right sidebar" highlighted in yellow. Some themes come with "header" and "footer" sidebars as well but for this HOWTO we will just use these two.

Scroll down that page until you see "Disabled" in bold. Underneath "Disabled" you will see a list of blocks that you can "Enable". Let's enable "Most Recent Poll". To the right of "Most Recent Poll" select "right sidebar" in the dropdown menu then click on "Save Blocks" at the bottom of your screen. Your poll should now be in your right sidebar.

Now click on the last link in the left sidebar titled "log out". This is what visitors will see when the come to your site. You are probably happy with what you have done so far and are ready to do even more.

At this point peole have many different ideas with how they want to develope there site and we can't cover all of that in this simple HOWTO. Now that you have your working website up and running it is time to refer to the Drupal handbooks to learn more about using your new website. Then come back and learn some search engine optimization. Feel free to continue keeping a blog of your website development.
